Slurry classification is an important consideration when selecting a centrifugal pump for a given application

Slurries can vary widely in terms of their viscosity, particle size, and concentration, which can greatly impact the pump’s ability to handle them effectively: light slurry (<15% solids) applications are normally designed to move both the water and the solids; whereas, slurry (>15% solids) and heavy slurry (40-70% solids) applications revolve around re-suspending and maximizing solids content while minimizing liquid transfer. Mixtures that will not flow are generally referred to as pastes.

One important factor to consider is the slurry’s specific gravity which is simply the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of water.

By carefully considering the characteristics of the slurry being pumped, we help you maximize the efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness your pumping solution.

Cantilevers & Lineshafts

Our HNC Series of pumps are true cantilever pumps, meaning they require no submerged seals and are built to withstand the toughest applications.

Our cantilevers and lineshafts feature our patented axial spiral hydraulic design, these pumps deliver unparalleled performance and reliability, even in the most challenging slurry applications. Additionally, our modular wet-end designs make it easy to customize the pump to meet the specific needs of your application, ensuring optimal performance and maximum efficiency.

  • True Vertical Cantilever

  • Direct or Belt Drive Arrangements

  • No Submerged Bearings or Seals

Our HNC series is based on our proven, robust yet low-maintenance cantilever technology – with no submerged seals and patented axial spiral hydraulic design – to maximize pumping efficiency. Our vertical slurry pump features wet end standard in High Chrome and CD4 and up to 8ft setting lengths.

  • proven cantilever technology

  • recessed vortex inducing wet end

  • Designed for ease of install

Our HNC Froth Pump System is an all in-one-unit of seal-less pump, sump, and driver designed to separate air from slurry prior to pumping for maximum pumping ability. All designs run under 1st critical speed for added robustness of the shaft/bearing assembly and for flexible operating speeds.

  • Two Drive Configurations

  • Robust and Low Maintenance

  • Modular Wet End Designs

The HNV Series of lineshafts feature double sealed columns which are oil lubricated from the top whereas our HNVO Series feature a non-sealed column with a submerged, clear water flushed, split radial bearing. This breakthrough bearing design uses a thin film of water to lubricate the bearing, practically eliminating the chance of bearing failure.
